Motor insurance for the ULSCB vehicle fleet in 2027

Summary

The tender covers motor insurance for the vehicle fleet of the local health unit in Castelo Branco for 2027, from 1 January to 31 December. The fleet includes a Ford Mondeo emergency medical and resuscitation vehicle (VMER) and the other vehicles listed in the tender’s annex. The VMER must have third-party liability cover of at least EUR 50,000,000; glass-breakage cover of EUR 1,000 with no deductible; and cover of EUR 22,562 each for theft, fire, natural events, vandalism and collision, with a maximum 2% deductible for those risks. The other vehicles must have third-party liability cover of at least EUR 7,750,000 and glass-breakage cover of EUR 1,000 with no deductible. All vehicles must have unlimited roadside assistance, including transport or repatriation and recovery of the vehicle. No charge may be added for paying premiums in instalments. Bids may be submitted by insurers or insurance intermediaries authorised by the Portuguese Insurance and Pension Funds Supervisory Authority (ASF). An intermediary must have written authority from the insurer, which must expressly assume the insured risk. The bidder must provide a public-facing, in-person service location in Castelo Branco, open on working days during normal business hours throughout the contract. The bid must include the required description of coverage, exclusions and deductibles, and the pricing form in both XLS and PDF formats. The bidder must undertake not to change its quoted commercial rate or apply a premium increase or discount in response to changes in claims frequency during the contract. The bid must not exceed the EUR 47,800 ex-VAT budget; price is the sole award criterion. Bids must be submitted electronically by 17:00 on 15 October 2026 and remain valid for 120 days.
