Retaining wall reconstruction and road resurfacing on Travessa da Estradinha, Friande

Summary

The contract covers reconstruction of the collapsed retaining wall and restoration of the damaged roadway on Travessa da Estradinha in Friande. The works include removing the unsafe existing wall and slope, earthworks, constructing an approximately 30 m long and 1–4.5 m high cyclopean-concrete retaining wall and return wall, drainage and backfilling. The cobbled road surface must be restored over a compacted crushed-aggregate base at least 20 cm thick. A reinforced-concrete guard wall must be built above the retaining wall, and the gate at house number 44 must be replaced.
