Supply of school meals for the 2026/2027 school year

Summary

The procurement covers catering for Canto da Maia Integrated Basic School and the canteens of four other primary schools for the 2026/2027 school year. From 28 October to 18 December 2026, the contractor must prepare and supply 8,712 full meals and 31,968 lighter meals, for an estimated total of 36 service days. Meals will be prepared in the main school kitchen, with some transported to the four other schools. The projected daily average is 242 full meals and 888 lighter meals. The maximum tender value is EUR 85,136.40 excluding VAT, and price is the sole award criterion. The submission deadline is 8 October 2026 at 23:59; bids must remain valid for 90 days after the submission deadline. Variant bids are not permitted, and no tender guarantee is required. The contractor must follow the six-week menu plan in the tender documents, provide vegetarian meals and, where justified, meals adapted to health or religious needs, and meet the food-safety, hygiene and portion-size requirements. The work also includes meal transportation, maintaining the dining facilities and equipment, and providing the required staff.
