Rental services for Christmas lighting 2026

Summary

The Municipality of Guarda is procuring the rental and servicing of Christmas lighting for 2026. The contractor will design, supply and install the rented lighting at 54 specified locations, keep it operational, and remove the installations after the event. The lighting must operate from 1 December 2026 to 6 January 2027. Installation is to begin on 20 October 2026, and the electrical distribution panels must be installed no later than five working days before the event begins. Dismantling and removal must be completed within ten working days after the event ends; the maximum contract period is 60 days. The budget ceiling is EUR 135,000 excluding VAT. Offers will be assessed on price (40%) and quality (60%); the quality component gives equal weight to originality and daytime visual impact. Offers must be submitted electronically in Portuguese by 17:00 on 6 October 2026. Bidders need an appropriate IMPIC licence, civil liability insurance with cover of at least EUR 2,500,000, and technical and design materials for their proposals. No tender guarantee is required, and variant offers are not permitted.
