Rehabilitation works for water reservoirs in Coimbra, Penacova and Miranda do Corvo

Summary

This two-lot public works contract covers rehabilitation of Águas do Centro Litoral water reservoirs in the Coimbra region. Lot 1 concerns the Chão do Bispo reservoir in Coimbra (estimated base price EUR 1,400,000 excluding VAT); Lot 2 covers the Aveleira, Albarqueira and Ribeiro reservoirs in Penacova and Miranda do Corvo (estimated base price EUR 2,000,000 excluding VAT). Each lot has a 550-day execution period, and one tenderer may be awarded both lots. The works include structural and surface repairs, waterproofing, renewal of pipework and equipment, electrical and control-system works, and improvements to access roads and surrounding areas. Lot 1 also includes removal of the asbestos-containing fibre-cement roof and rehabilitation of the reservoir’s interior and exterior surfaces. Lot 2 also includes renewal of reservoir equipment and water systems. A separate tender is required for each lot entered, and price is the sole award criterion. Tenders must be submitted electronically by 12 October 2026 at 18:00; variant tenders are not permitted. The successful contractor must provide a performance guarantee equal to 5% of the contract price.
