Loppa municipality Molo Øksfjord harbour

Summary

On behalf of Loppa municipality, a competition is announced for improving harbour conditions in Øksfjord. The general contract (NS 8406) includes the construction of two new piers, the installation of a new pumping station, sewer pipeline and access road. Dredging of the seabed under Molo Sør is required to ensure adequate geotechnical stability before filling. Dredged material shall be reused as core material in the piers and for backfilling trenches, with any surplus delivered to an approved recipient. Environmental measures such as a bubble curtain and turbidity monitoring will be implemented. The existing sewer line must be relocated and redirected with the new pumping station before marine works begin. Molo Nord shall be partially constructed before dredging to allow encapsulation of dredged masses and to reduce particle dispersion. The contract also includes backfilling, widening and extending Molo Nord, establishing a turning area, and concrete works on the new and existing piers. Concrete works are optional and include deck and parapet pours and overlays on existing structures. The client may order all or part of the optional concrete works. Execution will follow the design basis and drawings. Optional demolition and re-establishment items for about 200 meters of on-land sewer are also available.
