Sitka spruce harvesting in Valen–Flatval, phase 2

Summary

Frøya Municipality is procuring the harvesting of up to 5,000 m³ of Sitka spruce in the Valen–Flatval area to reduce the spread of the species. The work includes felling trees down to a 4 cm diameter at breast height, delimbing, handling logging residues, forwarding and transporting the timber, and repairing terrain damage. The contracting authority may also order the harvesting of up to an additional 1,000 m³. The work is scheduled for 1 December 2026 to 15 March 2027; the harvested timber will belong to the contractor, and its value will be deducted from the fixed total price.
