Property insurance for Waterschap Limburg

Summary

The procurement is for broad perils property insurance covering Waterschap Limburg’s buildings, equipment and inventory, business interruption and special costs. The insured amount is EUR 99,858,600, indexed and inclusive of VAT; the deductible is EUR 2,500 per event. The indemnity period for operating, special and reinstatement costs is 156 weeks. Several additional-cost categories have a limit of EUR 2.5 million per event; the crisis-management expense limit is EUR 150,000, and the limit for flooding from non-primary water defences is EUR 2.5 million per event and insurance year. Automatic cover for investments at new and existing locations is capped at EUR 10 million per location. The insurance starts on 1 January 2027 and initially runs for three years, with possible 12-month extensions up to a total term of six years. Bids are ranked by the lowest total annual premium, and the risk may be covered by one or more insurers. The lead insurer must take at least 25% of the risk. Bids must be submitted through TenderNed by 12 November 2026 at 12:00 and must be in Dutch. Bidders must accept the policy draft and tender-document terms without negative deviations and meet the financial, operational and licensing requirements for insurers.
