EYE Technical Maintenance

Summary

The contract covers the professional management, maintenance and optimisation of the building systems at the EYE Film Museum’s public museum building in Amsterdam. The work includes preventing and resolving faults, responding to emergencies, ensuring building safety and user comfort, providing reports, and coordinating specialist subcontractors. The contractor is also expected to identify opportunities to improve maintenance, replacement planning, energy efficiency and sustainability. Maintenance of the Collection Centre may be added during the contract as an optional extension of scope. The initial contract term is six years, with four possible one-year extensions, for a maximum term of ten years. The estimated total value is €3,100,000 excluding VAT. This is a two-stage restricted procedure: candidates first submit a request to participate, and up to five qualifying candidates are invited to tender. Tenders are assessed on price (40%) and quality (60%); the three highest-scoring tenderers are invited to a presentation stage. Applicants must demonstrate financial stability, the required insurance, management and safety systems, and relevant experience.
