Provision of Forest Management Certification in Accordance with FSC and PEFC Standards

Summary

The procurement covers FSC and PEFC forest management certification services for SIA “Rīgas meži” and its 61,044.31 hectares of forest, divided into two lots. Bidders may submit an offer for the FSC lot, the PEFC lot or both. The work includes audits, audit reports and, following a successful audit, issuing the certificate. For FSC, surveillance audits are required in contract years one, two, three and five, with a recertification audit in year four. For PEFC, a recertification audit is required in year one, followed by surveillance audits in years two to five. The contract runs for five years and services begin in July 2027; audits are planned for July, and an audit for either lot may not exceed three working days. Reports must be submitted no later than three months after each audit. Bidders must hold accreditation for the relevant scheme and provide auditors with the required experience. Offers must be submitted electronically, and price is the sole award criterion.
