Purchase of electricity

Summary

The contract concerns the sale of electricity to the Cēsis Olympic Centre’s sites for calendar year 2027. The electricity supplier must also provide balancing services, issue bills and process payments, and settle with the system operator on the customer’s behalf for system services and mandatory procurement components. Electricity transmission and distribution are outside the contract. Estimated consumption is 227,000 kWh over 12 months: 30,000 kWh at Cēsis City Stadium, 96,000 kWh at Cēsis Sports Complex, 21,000 kWh at Sports Hall “Cēsis” and 80,000 kWh at the Ski and Biathlon Centre. The actual quantity may be lower depending on the customer’s needs. The contract starts no earlier than 1 January 2027 and runs for 12 months; no advance payment is required. The offer must state a fixed electricity price that includes balancing service charges and other costs associated with electricity trading. Prices must be stated in euros excluding VAT to five decimal places. The contract will be awarded to the lowest-priced compliant offer; in the event of a tie, preference goes to the bidder with more comparable experience supplying electricity. The bidder must be registered as an electricity trader and hold the required contracts with the system operator.
