Studies and audits of fire-safety occupancy capacity in Paris schools

Summary

The Île-de-France Region is procuring two separate framework agreements for studies assessing the fire-safety occupancy capacity of public secondary education establishments in Paris. Each lot covers approximately 50 establishments, potentially comprising several buildings: Lot 1 covers the southern districts (5, 6, 7, 12, 13, 14, 15 and 16), except Lycée Pierre-Gilles-de-Gennes; Lot 2 covers the northern districts (1–4, 8–11 and 17–20) and includes that lycée. The studies will calculate theoretical maximum occupancy based on applicable fire-safety rules and evacuation arrangements, compare results with reported and actual occupancy, and provide recommendations. Document-based analysis is envisaged, with site visits where needed; archive searches, meetings and additional expert or engineering hours may also be ordered. Each lot has a planned 12-month term.
