Installation of four automated control gates on the Las Canals canal

Summary

The City of Perpignan is procuring works to install four automated flow-regulation gates on the existing Las Canals canal, including motorisation of the existing equipment at one site and 16 localised reductions along the canal. The works will allow water levels to be raised locally at irrigation intakes and the available flow to be distributed automatically, without modifying the intake from the Têt or increasing the volume withdrawn. The works are planned for completion within five months.
