Spinal cord dorsal column stimulators and accessories

Summary

South Karelia Wellbeing Services County is procuring rechargeable and non-rechargeable spinal cord dorsal column stimulators and related accessories for use at the pain clinic of South Karelia Central Hospital. Fifty new stimulators were installed during 2023–2025; the estimated annual need is 12–25 patients, with additional purchases for replacement operations when equipment is damaged or a power source needs replacing. Products will be purchased as needed, with no guaranteed purchase quantities. The contract is intended to run from 1 February 2027 to 31 January 2029 and then continue indefinitely.
