Commercial Forest Assessment

Summary

The procurement covers a commercial forest assessment for the FORLAND project in southern Tanzania. Using satellite imagery, the service provider will map forest plantation areas and changes since 2016 across the project regions and districts, including species, age classes, canopy cover and other relevant characteristics. Deliverables include maps, statistics and reusable spatial datasets, documented workflows and source code, a final report, and capacity-building for a local institution; mapping the potential for avocado, teak and natural forests will also be explored.
