Seasonal lifeguard service for beaches

Summary

Turku City is conducting a market survey for lifeguard services to assess market offerings, availability, and feasibility before publishing a formal procurement notice. The survey aims to gather information about potential suppliers, service quality, prices and implementation possibilities. This is not a call for competition or tender, but an informational prelude to inform the preparation of the tender documents. The planned contract period starts on 01 June 2027 and the service covers seasonal lifeguard supervision at Saaronniemi, Ispoisten, Ekvallan and Kaarle Knutinpojan beaches during school breaks, daily from 12:00 to 19:00. An attached service description invites comments and freely submitted proposals. Responses should be sent to kati.sarasniemi@turku.fi. The information obtained will be used to prepare the formal tender and facilitate the procurement process. Responses are treated as confidential by the procurement unit, which reserves the right to contact respondents for additional information after the event. The procurement unit is not committed to procure the service based on the market survey.
