The tender concerns funeral services for deceased residents of Vaasa where the municipality is responsible for arranging the funeral under the applicable legislation. The service includes transporting the deceased within the specified areas from Monday to Saturday, arranging the funeral with relatives at the funeral home, coordinating with the parish union or another relevant party, and, when required, providing pallbearer and assistant services. The service begins when the deceased is transferred from the place of storage to the service provider and ends with the burial or cremation. Most funerals will involve cremation, while coffin burials will be arranged only for justified reasons, taking the deceased’s religious convictions and related funeral practices into account. Products must be biodegradable. The service provider must have at least one service point in the City of Vaasa, provide weekday customer service and practical guidance at least from 09:00 to 16:00, and use suitable, clean, reliable transport vehicles no more than 10 years old.
