Christmas lighting installation, connection, commissioning, dismantling and fault-repair works 2026

Summary

The tender covers the installation, electrical connection, commissioning, safe operation, maintenance and dismantling of Christmas lighting for the 2026 Christmas season in the central area of Rauma. The work includes collecting the lighting equipment from 2–3 storage locations designated by the contracting authority, receiving and testing it, installing it at the designated sites, carrying out the necessary electrical connections and commissioning, checking operation, repairing faults found during installation, dismantling the lighting in January 2027, carefully packing the lights, cables and other materials, and returning them to the designated storage location. Fault-repair and maintenance work may also be ordered separately at the quoted hourly rates. The procurement is divided into two lots. In lot 1, prices are requested separately for each site. In lot 2, a price is requested for the Christmas lights on Kauppakatu and Kuninkaankatu, with hourly rates as an option for other Christmas lighting sites. The contracting authority may order work only within the available budget and may accept or reject individual sites or the optional offer. All sites are in central Rauma, and the tenderer must arrange collection of the equipment from the designated storage locations. Some installations take place in a busy city-centre environment. The work must minimise disruption to traffic, pedestrians, properties and the urban environment, while ensuring safety, cleanliness and a consistent, high-quality visual appearance. Tenderers are expected to inspect the sites and their conditions independently before the deadline for questions. Installation may begin after the contract has been signed. The lighting at Tammela’s Santa Park and the Christmas market at Kauppatori must be tested, installed and operational by 13 November 2026, and all Christmas lighting must be operational by 18 November 2026. Dismantling will take place at a date separately notified by the contracting authority in January 2027. The tender deadline is 6 October 2026.
