Tractor contracting services in urban forests

Summary

The tender concerns tractor-based transport of wood chips, timber and branches, together with other tasks assisting forestry workers, using a forestry-equipped tractor on forest properties owned by the City of Joensuu. The contract period is 1 November 2026 to 31 December 2027, with a possible three-year extension option. The operating area is divided into five lots: Joensuu urban area together with Kontiolahti and Liperi; Pyhäselkä; Eno; Kiihtelysvaara; and Tuupovaara. A tender may be submitted for one or more lots. In normal conditions, the target productivity for transporting timber is at least one 5–7 m³ load per hour, with a haul distance of approximately 200–300 metres and a stock volume of 15–50 m³ per hectare. The tractor must be suitable for the work, the driver must have sufficient professional skills, and the harvesting result must meet certification criteria.
