Procurement of a hybrid energy storage tank

Summary

Turku Energia is procuring a hybrid water-storage tank for storing district-heating and district-cooling energy in Turku. The supply covers design, manufacture, delivery, installation, testing and commissioning of the tank and its associated structures and equipment; the indicative net water volume is about 15,000 m³, with a diameter of 22 m and a height of 44 m. The tank is intended to provide charging and discharging capacity of 60 MW for district heating and 15 MW for district cooling. The site and related building infrastructure are being procured separately.
