Theatre at Espoo Cultural Centre

Summary

The tender covers construction of a new theatre at Espoo Cultural Centre, alterations to the existing cultural centre and construction works in the Kulttuuriaukio area. The project management main contractor will be responsible for reviewing and optimising the designs during the development phase and for managing the works, procurement, construction site and coordination of the parties during the implementation phase. The development phase is preliminarily planned to last 3–4 months from January 2027, while the implementation phase is planned to last 30 months from April 2027; completion is preliminarily scheduled for November 2029. The project includes a flexible theatre auditorium for approximately 500–700 people, as well as stage, rehearsal, production, audience, catering, logistics and building services facilities.
