Electric articulated buses and maintenance agreement for Plusbus services

Summary

The procurement covers 22 new battery-electric articulated city buses for Plusbus services, together with a comprehensive 15-year maintenance and repair agreement. The contracting authority may additionally purchase 2 buses by 28 February 2027 and up to 10 further buses by 31 December 2033. The buses must be fully equipped, inspected, registered and ready for operation: one bus is required for training by 1 May 2028 and the remaining buses by 6 August 2028, with operations starting on 7 August 2028. The required configuration includes at least 600 kWh battery capacity, 150 kW charging power, 250 kW continuous traction power, two driven rear axles, at least 95 passenger places, accessibility equipment, ITxPT V2 and TiGR compatibility, cybersecurity, passenger information and counting systems, cameras, climate control and specified safety and environmental features. The supplier must provide the maintenance plan, comply with all mandatory technical requirements and applicable standards, provide spare parts, documentation and free training, and maintain appropriately qualified service personnel. The tender documents also require extensive maintenance, response-time, warranty, inspection, data, insurance and delivery obligations.
