Summary

The procurement covers medical-device joint replacement systems divided into nine lots: knee, partial knee, cemented hip, cementless hip, dual-mobility acetabular, revision and tumour prostheses, as well as shoulder and fracture prostheses. The contracting authority is Tuomi Logistiikka Oy, procuring on behalf of Coxa Oy and the wellbeing services county of Pirkanmaa. The contract is expected to start in the second quarter of 2027, run for 24 months and then be extendable for an indefinite period. The estimated total value over five years is EUR 50,000,000, and the tender deadline is 18 September 2026 at 09:00. If the estimated procurement value is at least EUR 5 million, the proportion of medical devices originating in China in other suppliers’ tenders is limited to 50% of the total contract value.
