Smart pedestrian crossing with pedestrian and vehicle counting on Avenida de los Almendros

Summary

The Municipality of Rivas-Vaciamadrid is procuring the supply, installation, configuration and commissioning of one intelligent pedestrian crossing on Avenida de los Almendros, by Parque Lineal. The system will use video analytics to count pedestrians and give pedestrian phases preference, and non-intrusive radar to count and classify vehicles, including bicycles. The work includes traffic-signal equipment, cameras, radar sensors, cabling, software and integration with the municipality’s existing traffic-control and video systems, along with testing, documentation and training. The contract is not divided into lots; its estimated value is €55,249.94 excluding VAT (€66,852.43 including VAT), and its duration is 12 weeks.
