Operation of the Santa Coloma de Cervelló recycling centre and collection and transport of glass waste

Summary

Santa Coloma de Cervelló is procuring two independently tendered waste services for an initial two years, with an option to extend once for one year. Lot 1 covers operation of the municipal recycling centre, including user assistance, acceptance and sorting of waste, coordination of waste transfers, management of the reuse area, reusable-cup lending, distribution of woody-pruning bags, and facility cleaning and maintenance. Lot 2 covers collection and transport of domestic and commercial glass from 49 public 2,500-litre containers to an authorised treatment facility, as well as container cleaning, maintenance, repair and replacement; the estimated collection volume is 210 tonnes per year (420 tonnes over the initial term).
