Universal addiction prevention programmes in Torrevieja schools

Summary

The Municipality of Torrevieja is procuring the coordinated delivery of universal school-based programmes to prevent drug dependence and other addictions, including education on health and responsible use of new technologies, for pupils in grades 5–6 of primary school and grades 3–4 of secondary school. The estimated coverage is 16 primary schools with 89 classrooms and 7 secondary schools with 64 classrooms. The programme includes teacher training and student sessions; the planned provision is two modules per primary grade and three per secondary grade, with sessions billed as actually requested and delivered. The contract runs for two years from 2027, with up to two one-year extensions.
