The Municipality of Valdetorres de Jarama is procuring a single-lot veterinary service to manage and monitor local cat colonies using the capture-neuter-return method and to provide veterinary care for stray, lost and abandoned animals. The annual service includes an estimated 120 cat sterilizations (50 males and 70 females), microchipping and preventive health care for 120 cats, colony mapping and health assessments, emergency care as needed, and collection and authorised disposal of an estimated 15–25 animal carcasses. Training and public information on animal welfare and ethical colony management are also included. The initial term is two years, with options for two one-year extensions.
