North–south pedestrian connection and traffic-calming works on Avenida de Madrid – Phase I

Summary

The Municipality of Alcalá de Henares is procuring a single-lot works contract to improve the north–south pedestrian connection and calm traffic along Avenida de Madrid. The works include reorganising existing junctions as roundabouts, improving accessible pedestrian routes, planting and renewing landscaped areas, constructing approximately 3,950 m² of new pavements and renewing approximately 29,613 m² of carriageway surfacing. The works are to be completed within eight months and are co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund.
