Scheduled and Unscheduled Patient Transport Services in the Balearic Islands

Summary

Mutua Balear is seeking scheduled and unscheduled medical transport for patients across the Balearic Islands: Mallorca, Menorca and Ibiza. The service covers patients protected by Mutua Balear and patients for whom it must arrange care under agreements with other mutual insurance entities. The procurement is divided into three lots, one for each island. The contract runs for one year and is expected to start in the first quarter of 2027. No regular extensions are permitted; however, if award of a replacement contract is delayed, an exceptional extension of up to nine months may be used to ensure continuity. The total and estimated contract value is €870,000, exempt from VAT and other taxes. The contractor must provide the service with the required authorisations, vehicles and qualified staff, and submit evidence of financial capacity, relevant experience and quality management. Bids must be submitted electronically by 9 November 2026 at 23:59 and remain valid for three months. Evaluation awards up to 49 points for price and up to 51 points for other automatically scored factors, including the number and age of vehicles and service-quality improvements.
