Tender detail
Road improvements in the parishes of Cícere, Santa Sabiña, San Cristovo, Grixoa and Arantón
Summary
The contract covers improvements to roads and access routes in the areas of Cícere, Santa Sabiña, San Cristovo, Grixoa and Arantón. Works include clearing road verges and ditches and, where necessary, locally demolishing existing pavement and preparing the surface. Several sections will receive a 5 cm hot asphalt-mix layer; other sections will undergo semi-deep or surface treatment, sealing and gravel levelling. An artificial-aggregate sub-base and asphalt surface will be built on the access road at Arán. Road markings and STOP and other traffic signs are also included. The works are to be completed within 6 months. The estimated value is €143,499.67 excluding VAT, and the total tender budget is €173,634.60 including VAT. The contract is not divided into lots, and bids must be submitted electronically. Evaluation considers price and criteria relating to work planning, quality control, environmental measures, health and safety, and equality; tenderers must achieve at least 50% of the available points in the first qualitative stage. The planned works have not been approved for at least the final 135 metres near the protected Castro de San Bartolomé site; within the protected area, only manual vegetation and ditch clearing under archaeological supervision is permitted. Other works on this road must not begin until the archaeological monitoring project has been approved. The remaining works are authorized subject to cultural-heritage protection conditions. Tenderers must also account for a 5% performance guarantee and submit the work-planning, environmental, quality-control and health-and-safety documents specified in the tender documents.
