Construction of reinforced-concrete walls and drainage ditches for high-speed rail fencing

Summary

The contract covers the construction of reinforced-concrete walls and a concrete drainage ditch for fencing and associated works on the Madrid–Extremadura–Portuguese border high-speed railway project, in the Novelda del Guadiana area of Badajoz province. The work comprises 680 m² of two-sided formwork, left exposed, including installation and removal; pouring 259.01 m³ of concrete in walls and foundations; placing 17,043 kg of 12–16 mm reinforcing steel; and constructing 311.10 m² of in-situ concrete ditch. The contractor provides qualified workers, formwork and necessary auxiliary equipment and personal protective equipment; the contracting entity supplies the concrete and reinforcing steel. If a concrete pump is used, the contractor bears its cost and associated expenses. The works are to be completed within 6 months of contract signature; the contract runs for 7 months. The estimated value is EUR 88,047.53 excluding VAT and EUR 106,537.51 including 21% VAT. Price is the sole award criterion.
