Road safety improvements and sign replacement on the EX-A2 and connecting roads

Summary

The contract covers the renewal and replacement of existing road signs on the EX-A2 and its connecting roads. The works include replacing roadside signs, arrow signs and signs mounted on gantries and cantilever structures, as well as inspecting their supporting structures. Signage must be brought into line with current requirements and the new road designations: EX-A2-R1 and EX-A2-R2 are to be renamed EX-352 and EX-353, respectively. The purpose is to restore sign visibility, safety, consistency and effectiveness. This is a single, integrated roadworks contract and is not divided into lots. The estimated value is EUR 499,278 excluding VAT, with a total budget ceiling of EUR 604,126.38 including VAT. The works must be completed within four months from the road-setting-out verification record. Offers are assessed on price, worth up to 90 points, and an extension of the warranty period, worth up to 10 points. The standard warranty is 12 months and may be extended by up to one year, to a total of two years. Bids must be submitted electronically and in Spanish. Tenderers must provide the required responsible declaration and price and evaluation forms. During contract performance, the contractor must comply with labour and occupational safety requirements and, before works begin, provide, among other items, details of an appropriately accredited testing laboratory and the final testing plan.
