Construction of a shelter at Conde de Fontao playground under the 2026 Provincial Plan

Summary

The contract covers construction of a shelter at the Conde de Fontao playground in Foz and replacement of the existing badly deteriorated rubber flooring. The shelter is to have a galvanised metal structure and corrugated polycarbonate roofing; the replacement rubber flooring must be similar in characteristics to the existing surface. The works are intended to make the playground usable throughout the year by providing protection from rain while allowing natural light through. The contract is not divided into lots. The estimated contract value is €125,468.75 excluding VAT, or €151,817.19 including VAT. The stated contract duration is one month, or four weeks, starting on the day after the site-setting-out inspection record is formalised. Bids are evaluated on price (60 points), warranty period (30 points) and reduction in the works period (10 points). The minimum warranty is one year, with points available for offers of up to five years. However, the duration-scoring section uses a project maximum of 12 weeks, or three months, as its reference and awards points for reductions of up to six full weeks; bidders should verify this discrepancy in the tender documents when preparing their offers. Bids must be submitted electronically in a single envelope containing a signed European Single Procurement Document, a supplementary responsible declaration and the price offer. The deadline is 20 calendar days from the day after publication of the contract notice. The successful bidder must provide a final guarantee equal to 5% of the offered price excluding VAT and a further €1,000 guarantee before works start. A warranty period of at least 12 months applies after acceptance of the works.
