Improvement of the road to Vega del Cuero (Candamo)

Summary

The contract covers improvements to the agricultural and access road in the Vega del Cuero area of Candamo, facilitating the movement of farm machinery and access to a nearby homestead. The works form one contract and must be completed within four months. The planned carriageway width is 3.5 m, widened to as much as 4.5 m on sharper bends. Works include excavating damaged sections and replacing them with 597.67 m³ of selected soil, placing 787.08 m³ of aggregate base, laying 1,309 m² of triple surface-treated asphalt and 385 m² of concrete pavement, constructing 85 m of concrete ditch, and installing a 6 m culvert with a 1 m diameter, including its chambers and wing walls. A 60 cm-wide earth ditch is also planned along the remaining route. The estimated contract value is €95,100.90 excluding VAT; the total tender budget is €115,072.09 including 21% VAT. Price is the sole award criterion. The works must be completed within four months, and the warranty period is 12 months from acceptance. Bids must be submitted electronically within 21 calendar days beginning the day after publication of the contract notice; the submission deadline on the final day is 14:00. Bidders must meet the registration and financial and technical capacity requirements. The best-ranked bidder must provide a 5% final guarantee and the required liability insurance.
