Supply of ultracentrifuge filters for DNA purification in forensic genetics
Summary
The procurement is for the continuous supply, over 24 months, of ultracentrifuge filters used to purify and concentrate DNA for forensic genetic analysis in the laboratories of the National Institute of Toxicology and Forensic Sciences in Madrid, Barcelona, Seville and La Laguna. The contract may be extended for up to a further 24 months. Eight filter types are required, with molecular-weight cut-offs of 10, 30, 50 or 100 kDa and maximum sample capacities of 0.5, 2, 4 or 15 mL. The filters must meet the technical specifications; among other things, they must be single-use and non-sterile and supplied with a filtrate collection tube and a close-fitting cap. The supplier must fulfil orders within 72 hours, maintain sufficient stock and respond to requests for after-sales support within 24 hours. Orders will generally be placed monthly through the institute’s purchasing management application. The estimated contract value is EUR 374,962.37, and the budget ceiling including taxes is EUR 205,054.78.
