Renovation works at Cortes Valencianas Square

Summary

The contract covers renovation works at Cortes Valencianas Square in Catarroja to improve the children’s play area and the surroundings of the square’s central tree. The works include, among other things, resurfacing, demolition, structures, installations, landscaping and urban furniture. Torrential rain on 29 October 2024 damaged the square’s paving, street furniture and surface infrastructure, which the renovation will also address. The estimated contract value is EUR 112,176.45 excluding VAT, and the maximum tender budget is EUR 135,733.62 including VAT. The works must be completed within 12 weeks from the day after signature of the site-setting-out inspection record. The contract is not divided into lots and variants are not accepted. It is fully funded through the Valencia Provincial Council’s investment plan. To participate, a company must be registered in Spain’s official ROLECE bidder register and demonstrate the required turnover and similar works; companies established less than five years ago may meet the technical-capacity requirement through an alternative team requirement. The submission must include the European Single Procurement Document, the Annex IV responsible declaration and the Annex I price offer with the warranty-extension option, as well as other annexes where applicable. The deadline for submitting offers is 20 calendar days from the day after publication of the contract notice. Offers are scored out of 100 points: price accounts for up to 80 points and an extended warranty for up to 20 points. The standard works warranty is one year. Extending it by one, two or three years earns 10, 15 or 20 points respectively, resulting in a total warranty period of two, three or four years. The contractor must comply with employment, safety, environmental and data-protection requirements, take out the required construction all-risks and liability insurance, install an approved rigid information sign at the worksite, and keep the construction subcontracting register on site.
