Tender detail
Design and construction for widening the bridge over the Pozalet ravine in Loriguilla
Summary
The contract covers the design and construction required to widen the bridge over the Pozalet ravine near Paseo de la Estación in Loriguilla. The aim is to improve the bridge’s and watercourse’s capacity and reduce flood risk. The combined contract includes preparation of the basic and detailed design, a health and safety study and plan, construction supervision, health and safety coordination, and the construction works, including any required widening of the watercourse. The contract has two phases: the design is expected to be submitted within two months, and the construction phase may begin only after the design has been approved. Award is conditional on obtaining authorisation from the Júcar River Basin Authority; widening the watercourse also depends on acquiring the necessary land. As a general rule, work cannot start until the works on the upstream Loma bridge are complete, unless the directors of both projects agree otherwise and provide for coordination. Tenders will be evaluated on the basis of the best quality-price ratio: the technical memorandum is worth up to 75 points, price up to 10 points, and the experience of personnel assigned to the contract up to 15 points. The tender must include the required administrative declaration, price offer, technical memorandum and evidence for the automatically scored criteria. Tenderers must hold the required bridge-construction classification and provide evidence of similar previous works. The maximum tender budget is EUR 917,712.55 including VAT; the estimated contract value excluding VAT is EUR 758,440.12. The works are fully funded by a Spanish government ministry grant for DANA-related recovery.
