Supply and installation of electric hospital beds for Sant Jaume de Manlleu Hospital

Summary

The contract covers the supply and installation of 20 electric clinical patient beds at the social and health care centre of Sant Jaume de Manlleu Hospital. The beds must be delivered assembled, installed on the hospital floor designated by the hospital and commissioned within 60 days of contract signature. The installation is a turnkey undertaking: the contractor must remove the existing equipment and packaging, make any necessary adjustments to the installation areas, and commission the new beds. Each bed must have an approximate sleeping surface of 190 × 90 cm, electrically adjustable height from 39 to 79 cm, and a safe working load of at least 250 kg during all electric movements. Required features include split safety rails, patient and nursing controls, positioning and emergency functions, a 14 cm viscoelastic mattress, a backup battery and a wheeled base. Each bed must include an IV pole and a lifting pole with trapeze. The equipment must bear the CE mark and be supported by evidence of compliance with EN 60601-52-1. The minimum warranty is five years, including the motors, mattress and cover; spare parts must be available for at least ten years. Repairs, replacement parts and preventive maintenance must be covered during the warranty period. The technical offer must describe the maintenance and technical support service; the requirements include at least 95% equipment availability, an on-site response within 24 hours and fault resolution within 72 hours. Bidders must make an identical sample bed available for evaluation for at least 15 days; failure to provide the sample results in exclusion. The estimated contract value is €48,000 excluding VAT and €58,080 including 21% VAT. The contract is not divided into lots. Price is worth up to 41 points, technical and quality criteria up to 46 points, and automatically assessed warranty extensions, additional functions and ISO 14001 certification up to 13 points. Bidders must demonstrate annual turnover of at least €48,000 in one of the last three available financial years and provide evidence of comparable supplies completed during the last three years. The technical offer must include a PDF memorandum of no more than 30 pages, following the required structure, a declaration of technical compliance, product catalogues and technical documentation. The successful bidder must provide a final guarantee equal to 5% of the contract award amount excluding VAT.
