2026 Replacement of Drinking Water Network Pipes
Summary
The tender covers the 2026 renewal of the drinking-water network in Calonge i Sant Antoni, in the areas of Daró, Ginebra, Torre Valentina promenade, Priorat, Solsonès and Milà streets. The works involve replacing and renewing pipes, increasing pipe diameters where needed, installing fire hydrants and removing old asbestos-cement pipes. The aim is to improve water pressure and network reliability, reduce leaks and failures, and limit water loss. The procurement is not divided into lots. The contract lasts six months from signature of the setting-out verification record. Its estimated value is €360,613.17 excluding VAT, and the maximum tender budget is €436,341.94 including 21% VAT. Bidders must demonstrate annual turnover of at least €252,429.22 and a record of comparable works completed during the previous five years, totalling at least the same amount excluding taxes. The works manager must have at least five years’ experience and have completed at least one comparable project worth at least 70% of the estimated contract value. Businesses established less than five years ago may use an alternative method to demonstrate technical capacity. Tenders are scored on price, worth up to 80 points, and an extended warranty, worth up to 20 points: bidders may offer up to 36 additional months beyond the mandatory two-year warranty. The successful bidder must provide a final guarantee of 5%, the required liability insurance, a work programme and a construction health and safety plan. At handover, the contractor must submit the installed pipes’ pressure-test results and digitally signed as-built drawings.
