Construction works to divert the Font del Lleó drinking-water pipeline

Summary

Calonge i Sant Antoni is procuring construction works to divert the Font del Lleó drinking-water supply and distribution pipelines and replace the existing fibre-cement pipes, which are about 30 years old and have reached the end of their service life. The pipes currently run beneath buildings and tennis courts and have suffered repeated failures. The works are intended to improve the operation and maintenance of the municipal water network, reduce leakage and asbestos presence, and avoid impacts on private properties; the project also includes the necessary urban reinstatement. The procurement is a single lot, with an expected duration of six months from signature of the works commencement record. Works may be suspended for the tourist season from 15 June to 15 September. The maximum tender budget is €799,565.24 including VAT (€660,797.72 excluding VAT). Offers are assessed automatically: price is worth up to 65 points, the experience of two delivery personnel in water-supply works up to 20 points, and an extension of the two-year warranty up to 15 points, to a maximum total warranty of five years. Bidders generally need works-contractor classification Group E, Subgroup 1, Category 3; other bidders from EU or EEA states are subject to turnover and previous-works experience requirements. Bids must be submitted electronically as a single file. The successful bidder must provide a final guarantee of 5% and liability insurance with €900,000 coverage.
