Street resurfacing and pavement renewal in Barbate, including road improvements in the San José neighbourhood
Summary
The contract covers resurfacing streets in Barbate and renewing or improving pavements and the road surface in the San José neighbourhood. The works include, among other things, milling and resurfacing damaged road areas, removing and reinstating pavements and kerbs, raising manholes and drainage grates to the new surface level, and adapting street junctions to improve accessibility. The procurement is divided into two lots: Lot 1 for street resurfacing (€165,280.98 excluding VAT) and Lot 2 for civil works, including pavements and the San José neighbourhood (€330,547.42 excluding VAT). The total budget is €495,828.40 excluding VAT, or €599,952.37 including VAT. The works must be completed within six months. Each lot is scored out of 100 points: price accounts for up to 20 points and lot-specific additional works for up to 80 points. For Lot 1, the additional works are up to six extra pedestrian crossings and up to 20 extra road signs. For Lot 2, they are additional painting of up to 1,154.06 linear metres of kerbs and installation of up to ten extra cast-iron manhole covers. Any improvements offered become binding contractual commitments for the successful bidder and must be carried out at no extra charge. Bidders must meet the turnover and relevant past-work experience thresholds and submit a compliant electronic bid. The successful bidder must provide a 5% final performance guarantee. Award of the contract is conditional on the availability of the required budget.
