Roof conservation and energy-efficiency improvements at the La Bomba lecture building

Summary

The tender covers five months of roof conservation and energy-efficiency improvement works at the University of Cádiz’s La Bomba lecture building in Cádiz. The works include replacing part of the accessible flat roof, replacing the timber lining on the roof lantern above the central courtyard, repairing and maintaining corroded metal truss elements, and waterproofing the rainwater gutter. The contract is not divided into lots. The estimated value is €299,441.74 excluding VAT and €362,324.51 including VAT. Bidders must demonstrate the required financial and technical capacity and be registered in the REA construction companies register; alternatively, they may submit the specified works classification, C/7, Category 2. Evaluation awards points for price, technical quality and energy-efficiency and environmental improvements; each additional warranty year earns 3 points. The minimum warranty is three years. The successful bidder must provide professional indemnity insurance with cover of at least €120,000 and a final guarantee equal to 5% of the contract award amount excluding VAT. A site visit is recommended; it was scheduled for 8 October 2026 at 10:00 at the entrance to the La Bomba lecture building.
