Food safety laboratory testing and kitchen hygiene verification for CIRE centres

Summary

CIRE is procuring a single, non-lotted service to collect and analyse food, surface and food-handler samples at its prisons and open centres in Catalonia, and to verify kitchen hygiene and sanitation during site visits. The annual programme includes 948 general analyses of finished dishes, 21 Listeria N5 analyses, 240 hand samples, 240 Listeria surface samples, 1,032 general surface and utensil analyses, and up to 30 allergen tests, with provision for additional samples of up to 2% of the planned total. The service also includes kitchen checklists, digital access for CIRE staff to review and conduct checks, and calibration reports for thermometers and other measuring equipment. The contract is planned for 2027–2028, with possible extensions through 2031; no lots are planned.
