Service concession for the management and operation of Soto del Real Municipal Cemetery and Funeral Home

Summary

This is a four-year service concession for the integrated management and operation of Soto del Real Municipal Cemetery and Funeral Home. The concessionaire will provide cemetery, funeral-home and related funeral services, handle administration and customer service, and be responsible for facility maintenance, upkeep, cleanliness, equipment and waste management. The funeral-home service must be available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The concessionaire will be paid from user charges under the applicable tariffs but will assume the operational risk; the municipality guarantees no minimum volume of services, users or revenue. Bidders must have annual turnover of at least EUR 294,597.20 in their best of the last three available financial years, at least one similar reference worth at least EUR 49,099.53 per year during the last three years, the required funeral-sector authorisations and liability insurance with cover of EUR 600,000 per claim. The tender is scored out of 100 points: increasing the annual concession fee is worth up to 60 points, furniture renewal up to 30 points and an audiovisual system 10 points.
