Tender detail
Disposable hypothermia blankets with loaned heaters for Extremadura Health Service hospitals
Summary
The tender covers the supply of disposable warming hypothermia blankets to hospitals of the Extremadura Health Service for 36 months, together with the loan of 190 heating units at no charge. The four blanket types are full-body blankets placed under adult patients, upper-body blankets, neonatal blankets and paediatric blankets. Quantities are estimates and actual orders will depend on hospitals’ needs; bids must cover all four products. The contract has a single lot, a base budget of €314,989.60 excluding VAT and an estimated total of €381,137.42 including VAT. The maximum unit price is €4.24 excluding VAT for each product. Bidders must demonstrate the required financial and technical capacity and offer products that meet the technical specifications. Bids are evaluated on price (55 points) and technical added value (up to 45 points): an alarm for HEPA filter replacement, non-tubular blankets with redirectable airflow, and two hose connection points are each worth 8 points; heater noise level, pressure-ulcer prevention/pressure distribution, and suitability for use with patients lying prone are each worth up to 7 points. The successful contractor must deliver orders within the required time limits, provide the heaters on loan, maintain, repair or replace them, and install them where necessary. The initial contract term is 36 months, with two possible extensions of up to 12 months each.
