Supply of consumables for cataract and vitrectomy surgery with equipment made available

Summary

The procurement is divided into three 48-month lots for the supply of ophthalmic surgical consumables to the ophthalmology service of the Valencia General Hospital Consortium, together with the equipment needed for their use. The contract also covers equipment installation, commissioning, maintenance and user training. Deliveries will be made in response to hospital orders and actual requirements; estimated quantities are forecasts, not guaranteed order volumes. • Lot 1: consumables for cataract, retinal and corneal surgery and other ophthalmic procedures. Estimated annual quantities: 1,300 cataract packs, 200 vitrectomy packs, 110 combined-surgery packs, 350 corneal-surgery packs, 900 500 ml packs of balanced saline solution, 100 23G laser probes, 1,200 irrigation/aspiration handpieces and 50 anterior vitrectomy probes with irrigation cannulas. The supplier must make available two anterior and posterior eye-segment surgery platforms, a femtosecond laser, a retinal imaging and OCT system, a 532 nm pattern photocoagulation laser, an anterior-segment analysis platform and a high-end digital surgical microscope. • Lot 2: cataract and retinal surgery consumables and imaging equipment. Estimated annual quantities: 840 cataract packs, 20 combined-surgery packs, 30 vitrectomy packs, 30 anterior vitrectomy probes, 860 irrigation/aspiration handpieces, 480 500 ml packs of balanced saline solution, and five each of steerable laser probes with and without illumination. The supplier must make available one cataract and vitrectomy platform and one high-end surgical microscope with intraoperative OCT. • Lot 3: intravitreal therapy packs and an anterior-segment OCT device. The estimated annual quantity is 8,500 packs. The bid must cover all items in each lot pursued and meet their technical specifications. Supply, installation, maintenance and technical support, and equipment-use training are part of the proposed delivery. Detailed product and equipment specifications are set out in the tender documents. The qualitative objective award criterion is worth up to 35 points per lot; the combined score for criteria 2 and 3 must reach at least 29 out of 45 points to proceed to the next evaluation stage.
