Maintenance of Alicante’s Green Infrastructure in Three Lots

Summary

The tender covers conservation and maintenance of Alicante’s green infrastructure in three lots: Lot 1 is general maintenance of green areas; Lot 2 covers urban and peri-urban forest areas; and Lot 3 covers the green areas of Vía Parque and Benisaudet and is reserved for special employment centres. The contract lasts four years, with one possible one-year extension. The budget for the initial four-year term is €44,709,871.27 including VAT; the revised tender documents state an estimated value of €56,087,631.37 excluding VAT, including the extension. The contractor will organize an annual maintenance programme and provide the staff, machinery, tools and materials required for the relevant lot. Bids are assessed on price and technical proposals, including service organization, maintenance planning, water-saving measures and improvements to green areas. A cost study supporting the price and covering all service costs and proposed improvements is required. Bidders must meet lot-specific turnover and experience thresholds or provide the permitted alternative contractor classification. Lot 3 is open only to qualifying special employment centres.
