Major refurbishment of Mühlentor Bridge – transport to its construction position

Summary

The City of Lübeck is procuring works to dismantle and transport approximately 550 tonnes of the historic steel superstructure of Mühlentor Bridge about 100 metres to its construction position. The works include lifting and moving the superstructure using self-propelled modular transporters, with the aim of preserving the existing structure as far as possible; corrosion protection will be renewed at the new location.
