Research project – DZSF mobility chain analysis: How transport data can strengthen rural rail transport
Summary
Eisenbahn-Bundesamt is commissioning a research project to analyse mobility chains in rural areas, with particular attention to passenger rail transport. The study will compare and link objective transport data with people’s reported use and perceptions of different modes of transport, using data from selected focus regions and complementary experimental studies to assess the effects of measures promoting sustainable mobility chains.
