Supply of two single-cell test stands for alkaline electrolysis

Summary

The contract is for the supply of two identical single-cell test stands for research into alkaline water electrolysis. Each stand must accommodate a cell with an active electrode area of 25–100 cm², operate at 20–90 °C and at pressures from 0.5 to 30 bar above atmospheric pressure, and support stable operation for up to 1,000 hours. The systems must enable electrochemical measurements, electrolyte and gas handling, gas analysis, data recording and automated test procedures. The scope includes delivery of complete systems, safety features, factory commissioning and testing with a test cell provided by the client, on-site commissioning, a two-day visit to optimise system operation, and at least two days of staff training. Technical, operating and safety documentation, together with calibration information, must also be provided. The net offer must not exceed EUR 890,000. A binding delivery time in whole calendar weeks must be stated for each test stand. Offers are evaluated on price (35%) and the technical execution of the product (65%). To participate, bidders must submit a company profile, turnover figures for 2022, 2023 and 2024, and for 2025 if available, as well as at least three references for comparable projects from 2023 or later. A completed technical-details table, signed declarations concerning exclusion grounds and Russia-related restrictions, a signed export-classification form, and, if applicable, the signed confirmation of the latest bidder information issued by the contracting authority are also required.
